Backyard barbecue

Our friends the Hills won a contest from one of the news stations up here. They got to have the sports section of the news broadcast from their home. The outback catered but i sure felt sorry for the people working the grill..because it was a SCORCHER! But jared got to be the sports anchor and he really did an awesome job:) Gavin also made it on tv for the first time. However i pulled a major brian here. I was all confident that I was recording the news during that time and even recorded several news times, but when i got home brian informed me that I had the wrong station! UGH!!! I was soo mad at myself! So i never got to watch jared or my little gavin. VERY disappointing!

Fathers day weekend we went home, this time my hubby got to come along too!! YAY! However, neither one of our fathers were home for it. :( But we did get to visit with some friends and fam while we were there. And we actually got to have dinner with jackie and brad...FINALLY! Then sunday afternoon brian's whole fam had a huge and very yummy grill fest. Which does not at all help with my weight issue! Gavin is 10months and walking now (boo hoo) but he still doesn't have it completely mastered. I need to invest in some good shoes for the little guy. He doesn't really talk yet just A LOT of babble. He does say dada but I don't think he makes the connection to brian quite yet.

This past weekend was quite busy. Friday we had dinner with the spurlocks and played a little cornhole. Dad beat brian twice!! (that never happens). Then we stayed all night at the craigs. Saturday brian did a little golfing. Then that eve we went to his cousin jamie's wedding which was outside on the most beautiful day. After we left the reception we topped the night with some hinkles hamburgers for old time sake:) Sunday we got to visit with friends and then dinner with Craigs.Then the long haul back home to indy. Shew!! We were all pretty pooped but had a great time with everyone!
